Conspiracy Theories – Government Debt Is Ridiculous

There is one important fact you have to consider in conspiracy theories. If something doesn’t make sense to you, use logic, be objective, and have an open mind. Trust your own logic over others. When people are not being honest, truth becomes clouded and we have a choice. Trust in others, even though it doesn’t all make sense, or trust ourselves. I submit that trusting your own thoughts is one of the most important things to intellectually learn in life.

Personal Debt : You wouldn’t have any hypothetically.

Suppose you were given the exclusive right to print money on an everyday copy machine. The money you print is legal tender anywhere. How much debt would you have? Obviously, you would have zero debt. You would have “tons” of money. The federal government has the same exclusive right to print money. So, why are they in debt?

Inflation Risk

I have a good idea (not really). Let’s print money to ourselves and turn around and lend it to ourselves at face value, to avoid inflation.

A main argument people make is that due to inflation the government can’t just print whatever money they want. It would devalue the currency. In times past, countries have debased their currency and severely hurt their economies.

It’s not a good argument and here’s why. Print what you need and stop printing. No matter how much you print, it’s still paper. You shouldn’t be in debt for printing a bunch of paper.

The inflation argument really points to the fact that we need to make wise decisions on the quantity of money we produce. This, however, is a different statement than we can’t print money because of inflation. What the inflation risk argument is really saying is that we are in debt because if we make errors and print too much money there will be inflation. It’s not logical to assume we should get a bunch of debt because we are to irresponsible to govern our own printing press.

Inflation Argument #2

We can only print so much money to avoid inflation risk. So, what we should do is borrow the extra money we need to avoid inflation. We can borrow from people and countries.

Inflation argument #2 is flawed, as well. When you borrow money from other countries, you are, in fact, injecting the money into the economy as if you had printed it. You are borrowing the money to spend it. So, you convert foreign currency to dollars and put it into the economy. These days it is done electronically and it expands the money supply. If you borrow money from the American People, you are actually taking money out of the economy.

Who Is The Federal Reserve Bank?

It’s a small group of wealthy bankers. J.P. Morgan, Rockefellers, Rothschilds, Paul Warburg, and the Lehman Brothers. This list is not all inclusive, but shows the main controlling partners.

What Presidents Have Been Against A Centralised Bank?

President Andrew Jackson destroyed one of the nations centralised banks. President John F. Kennedy was also against the Federal Reserve Bank. Thomas Jefferson felt strongly that it was unconstitutional. Thomas Jefferson was concise in his early warning to the American nation, “If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.”

Why Does The Government Have Debt?

The government borrows at monetary face value plus interest. The government borrows the money from the Federal Reserve Bank (a.k.a. private money printers).

A Conspiracy Against USD!

For 2 weeks the fall of US Dollar on the Forex market has been observed and it may continue in the future. One of the main reasons, not well-known among the public, is that two weeks ago the Independent reported the countries of Persian gulf together with China, Russia, Japan, and France to develop the plan of refusal of dollar prices for oil. Probably Brazil and India will also join that countries in the nearest future.

According to the Independent’s report, some secret meetings between Ministers of Finance and heads of the central banks of these countries have been held recently. There was taken a decision, that USD prices for oil will be replaced by the basket of currencies probably including Euro, Japanese yen, Chinese yuan, Russian rouble and a new united currency of the Persian gulf countries (Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Qatar) the creation of which is only planned and discussed.

One of the interesting things is that China is interested in rising and crushing US dollar at the same time. The points is, that Chinese economy is suppressed by the big amount of dollars and foreign investments in USD, so Chinese government would like bucks to become weaker and were driven out of the country. But at the same time the Chinese understand that nowadays the 2/3 of Chinese national reserve is kept in dollars and a strong fall of USD on Forex market will bring China down in a moment. So, the Chinese government tries to be very careful in this situation.

The information on planned refusal of dollar pricing for oil was confirmed in bank circles of Persian gulf countries and also in China. Russia is also ready to join that counties in order to make its currency stronger and to end the domination of US Dollars in the world trading. Also the interest in such transition was stated by Brazil and India.

It is planned, that replacing dollar by the new basket of currencies will be finished by 2018. The definitive structure the basket isn’t defined and may change. But we already know the main candidates to be included there. The main point is, that USD is losing its position not only just of the economic factors. It’s also the question of history. For example, after the World War II the USA became the world leader almost in all spheres of economy. Due to that US Dollar was the main trading currency and was spread all over the world. At the moment the United States can boast of extremely good economical and political situation. USA was brought down by not only economical, but even political crisis, including internal and external politics. So, the American currency is falling down on Forex market.

The publication in “The Independent” has made the Forex market going crazy. In particular, the dollar at the auctions in Japan falls in relation to yen which can be a part of a currency basket for definition of cost of oil.

Conspiracy Theories on US Debt Downgrade Considered

Well, it looks as if Standard & Poor’s has downgraded the US debt, as they promised they might. Although this is only one major credit rating agency, it is a significant event, as it is the first time that a credit rating agency has lowered US debt in the history of our country (credit ratings for US Treasuries have been graded since 1917). Indeed such a major event as this also causes conspiracy theorists to come out of the woodwork, and put in their two cents.

It is also cause many of the doom and gloom traders who like to short certain stocks, funds, currency, and bonds to call for a massive drop in the stock market, and a massive selloff in the markets globally. There is a good chance this will be a non-event, or a short-term issue since it is only one credit rating agency, and that most people already know that the United States federal government is living beyond its means, and borrowing nearly 40% of every dollar that it spends. Remember, there are serious issues happening in Europe right now which could cause larger issues.

Now then, let’s talk about the downgrade rational from a philosophical perspective. Obviously, if a business wasn’t making money, and borrowing 40% of what it spends, or if a consumer was doing the same, chances are there credit rating would be very stellar either. Below are some of the conspiracy theories that I’ve heard, and I would like to talk to you about these for a few minutes;

1. The Downgrade Was Made to Protect EU Economic Market Collapse and Fleeing Capital to Safety (US Treasuries).

2. Standard and Poor’s is Working Very Hard to Break Into China, and Without a US Debt Downgrade They Wouldn’t Get the Juice

3. Standard and Poor’s is Angry at the US Department of Justice Investigating Them and Had Put Off the Downgrade Until it Knew the Investigations Were Winding Down

4. The S & P Downgrade Was Political in Nature

5. S&P realized that other credit rating agencies were going to eventually downgrade US Treasuries and it wanted to be first, and preempt.

Everyone knows that the US economy is connected to the global economy, so it is not too surprising that someone would make the assessment that S&P downgraded the US credit rating to make the EU look good as the European Central Bank tries to hold together the European Union, and the euro, by selling treasuries of its own in the future, or buying up the bonds of challenged nations (PIIGS) Portugal, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Greece. Of course, if we Downgrade the US debt, we have to downgrade the new European Central Bank’s debt as well, along with half of the industrialized nations of the world.

It is known that S&P wants to do more business in China, and also that Chinese stocks are not very trusted, and they need to get some credibility. S&P obviously wants a chance at some of that business in China, but to get in and get access to all those publicly traded companies on the Shanghai exchange (what’s left of it), it needs to go along with China politically, at least in the media. Remember, China is also selling municipal bonds and needs to make the US look less attractive, this is why Dagong, a Chinese rating agency lowered US Treasuries just prior to S&P.

One individual I talked to said that S&P was angry that the US Justice Department was investigating them for their role in the global economic real estate debacle that crashed the global economy. After all they were rating all of those CDOs and mortgage bundles Triple-A, which allowed investment banks, pension funds, central banks, and others to continue trading them at a rapid rate, that is until the music stopped and there weren’t any chairs to sit back in.

The Obama Administration claims that the S&P downgrade was political in nature meant to harm the Democratic Party, and the left-leaning socialist Legislating Congress. It’s hard to say if any of these rumors or conspiracy theories are true, but all of them are quite interesting, and therefore I thought I would mention it, and bring them to your attention. Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on it.

Conspiracy Theory As Political Philosophy and Ideology – Reflections on a Post 911 World

As any Philosopher of Science will tell you formal theories serve as explanations to observed phenomena, an association between the explanandum – the object of phenomena to be explained; and the explanans – the framework, concept or theory to be used as an the reference point for explanation. Pioneers in philosophy of Science such as Hempel coined this logic inference to the best explanation.

Employing a Meta theory that explains a form of social reality and existence has long been the goal of Philosophers who propagate abstract thinking and rules of logic to define and set the boundaries of ontology and epistemology. In Political Philosophy one often has the espousing of an Ideology: A set of ideas that best serve to explain political and social phenomena and thus attempting a correlation between the theory used in explanation with that of the “goings on” observed. For long periods in history Philosophers and Social Scientists have debated whether Liberalism, Marxism, Anarchism, Structuralism or Methodological Individualism best serve as theoretical explanations of social reality.

In this same instance we find Ideologists today who advocate Conspiracy Theory. Like so many others in the realm of theoretical and philosophical explanation they too employ ideal frameworks that account for observed phenomena. Regardless of the aspects that encompass specific conspiracy theories, whether they are single point conspiracy theories like 911 or Meta conspiracy theories of the New World Order, they all occupy the spectrum of political ideology. This is because they advocate an explanation for observed phenomena. As where Marxism does it through the lens of capitalism and its dialectic with the human essence, Liberalism through inalienable individual property rights, conspiracy theorists do it through the lens of an esoteric operating cabal – for instance a horde of business and political agents responsible for 911 and its cover up.

All these ideologies execute the same cognitive apparatus when examining social data. They have a target point to explain and go out about it by utilizing their philosophical and ideological perspective and beliefs to explain the phenomena at hand and simultaneously reinforce their belief system in a circularity manner. Once can examine 911 from various stand points including the official explanation stated by the U.S Government or from the perspective of both Meta conspiracy and single point conspiracy theory. It is worth noting that often proposed theories have to take into account competing theories, and thus in effect explain them too. Here conspiracy theorists would argue that the Ideologies of both Liberalism and Democratic Government are facilitated by the ruling elite to distract us from the real “goings on” at hand.

One of the most significant indicators of Conspiracy Theory as Ideology is its remedy for the perceived problem; the way out of the turmoil and into a utopian future akin to the Marxist proposal for the future design of society and mankind. Ironically it is here where Conspiracy Theory shares its most identifiable resonance with the established philosophies of Liberalism and Marxism.

Certain conspiracy theorists such as Alex Jones cry out for the Republicanism of the founding fathers of the American constitution – intended to safeguard the individual rights of citizens from ever intrusive Government legislation. This is an obvious parallel with Liberalism and Anarchism yet not attributed as one due to the predisposed schema that Liberalism is a conspiratorial design. Then we have the utopian future of a collective society void of greed and ego to better mankind and society against the tide of corporatism and the concentration of power in Government as advocated by David Icke. This is an obvious appeal, whether subconscious or not, to Anarcho-Communism.

Yet it is these political and social aspirations of Conspiracy Theory that presents it in the light of ideology: the analyzing of socio-political phenomena with theories of causations and justification as well as proposals for future change. Conspiracy Theory is also the political ideology of the disengaged and of the fringe. As previous Socialist, Feminist and Civil Rights movements were motivated by the disenfranchised in society at the time, we now have conspiracy theorists disillusioned with globalization, Sovereign centralization and free market economics to the point where they can no longer follow or assert the dominant paradigms of the modern world, especially when associated with the official accounts of 911. They therefore find solace in a theory that explains the current state of affairs to them in a more appealing manner with the possibility of change – the same as any other political ideology.

Conspiracy Theory Just In Today – Drought and Locust Plague in Iran Compliments of USA

They say that a conspiracy theory a day will help keep the bugs away and I’m not sure if that is true, but I’m trying very hard to keep up. As you know I set out on a mission to create out of the clear blue sky at least one conspiratorial nonsensical crazy story each and every day. What I typically do is grab something out of the news and mix it with a few scientific facts, and try to come up with a plausible deniable conspiracy of some type. I call this my creative writing exercise for the day. It’s how I warm up my daily writing routine.

Okay so let’s begin. Today’s conspiracy has to do with weather manipulation, and the ability of the United States Department of Defense to change the weather. As you know there was an Air Force paper put out titled “Owning the Weather by 2025″ which meant that the military would try to control the weather and use it as a force multiplier to help win wars. The Russians have a similar program, so don’t think we are alone.

Before the Beijing Olympic Games China also said not to worry that they would be controlling the weather for a perfect Olympic Games. Although they fell little short, the weather was better than it would have been predicted. After the horrific landslides and floods in Pakistan last year, many people said that either China or the United States had caused those major floods by creating severe rainstorms up in the mountains.

Most any meteorologist who was watching the weather knows that isn’t true, but when folks come from regions where they are not necessarily educated, we can expect to observe conspiracy theories have a way of getting out of control, much like the weather in that case.

There was an interesting article recently in TerraDaily – News About the Planet” Online posted in the Climate Science Category titled “West Causing Drought in Iran: Says Mahmoud Ahmadinejad” by Staff Writers in Tehran on May 19, 2011.

The president of Iran is convinced that the United States is causing economic sabotage to his country, and also causing droughts which are exacerbating the economic challenges of their country. He says the United States is doing that to starve out the Iranian people and prevent Iran from seeking its future of becoming a nuclear power. The article stated;

“Western countries have designed plans to cause drought in certain areas of the world, including Iran,” the official IRNA news agency quoted Ahmadinejad as saying in the central city of Arak in Markazi province. According to reports on climate, whose accuracy has been verified, European countries are using special equipment to force clouds to dump” their water on their continent, he said.”

Now then, everyone knows that the United States and Iran are at odds over several different issues, including the proliferation of nuclear weapons technology, and sponsoring international terrorist groups. Okay so, Iran’s President may just have something there, but I’m not going to tell you who told me so. Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on it.

Oh, and if Iran is listening tonight, they may want to think twice about crossing the United States, as the weather, well that’s the least of their worries, and I’ll leave the Earthquake theory for another article. By the way a little bird told me that earlier today. I hope you have enjoyed today’s conspiracy theory, and I hope you will pass it on and tune in tomorrow for another conspiratorial theory.
